Corteo

Corteo is one of the newest shows to be touring the U.S.A. and is now setting up tent in Los Angeles and soon will be in Orange County and San Diego. The creator and director of this fantasy is not French but was born in Lugano Switzerland. His love for clowns has lead to this latest creation by the famed Cirque du Soleil. In this piece, filled with little people, a giant, a white clown of Italian origin, and a host of acrobats who perform some marvelous feats, tells the story of a dead clown who is being ushered into the hereafter by a funeral cortege or procession. Is it all a dream, who knows but he is visited by all his old troupe members who honor him with their various acts.  He finally dons his old clown suit and bicycles off to paradise. This is a great piece for the whole family despite is theme of death. GO SEE THIS.
