Sergey Khachatryan

Stephane Deneve ably conducted the Bach/Stokowski’s Passacaglia and Fugue in C minor though I must say I think I prefer it on the organ.  The Phil also performed Dvorak’s Symphony no. 8 magnificently. The real highlight though was the Los Angeles premiere the young and extraordinary Sergey Khachatryan playing Prokoviev’s Violin Concert No 2. The crowd gave him a well-deserved standing ovation.
