Paradise Lost

PARADISE LOST is an epic anime operatic, fight-filled, and gloriously sung currently at the Boston Court Theatre in Pasadena. Book and Music by Eric Whitacre with lyrics by David Noble, the production is attracting attention around the world with hopes for a Broadway run in its future.  The production is most impressive for a 99-seat theatre and could only be done with outside subsidies. For everything right about this production the thin plot could not overcome its limitations. Even more troubling was the fact that the characters never really moved me. But, if great singing and an epic story are what you like, you will enjoy this production.
